Art Classes in the Forest
Join Carol’s ‘Art Classes in the Forest’!
Carol’s ‘Art Classes in the Forest’ start again in Terms 3 and 4 2020. You can choose drawing, oil painting or sketch walk classes. Ideally, it is best to start with a term’s drawing classes to learn the ‘Fundamentals of Drawing’. After this the fun begins! You can test out your newly discovered drawing skills in our Sunday sketch walks in Sydney. Or, you can join our ‘Fundamentals of Oil Painting’ classes. This will enable you to enjoy some plein air oil painting!
Our ‘Art Classes in the Forest’ are held in the Sydney suburb of Frenchs Forest. We follow the NSW School term dates. This means there will be ten classes in Term 3 and five classes in Term 4. Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays with sketch walks on Sundays.
Dates: July 31, 2020 to September 25, 2020
Dates: October 23, 2020 to December 18, 2020
You can choose a drawing class on either Friday or Saturday morning. The curriculum is continuous and designed to introduce you to drawing materials, various mark making skills, drawing skills and variety in composition. Also, we explore colour using ink and watercolour wash. Each week the subject matter will be different and designed to give you confidence as a sketch walker and plein air painter.
Drawing classes are for two hours in the morning from 9:30 to 11:30. Oil painting classes run for 2 hours in the afternoon from 12:30 to 2:30.
We will have drawing equipment and supplies available for purchase.
Carol’s goal is to see you progress as either a drawer or a painter or both. To achieve this, you will need to make a commitment to a whole term’s classes. In Term 3 there are ten weeks and the price is $380. Term 4 is five weeks and the price is $190. The maximum number in a class is ten people. And you receive a discount for enrolling in a full term.
